A) Daily washes – trucks and loading ramps
Grand Valley Fortifiers is committed to washing each of our delivery trucks daily. If a truck becomes soiled while on delivery it is washed down on farm or at a local wash bay prior to completing the next delivery.
B) Clean Cabs – floor mats cleaned and disinfected daily
Cabs are inspected weekly by senior delivery staff.
C) Disinfection – Feed box, ramp, and feed cart
The feed cart will only be used in ideal conditions so as not to become soiled.
After each stop the driver sweeps the box floor, loading ramp (if used) and feed cart. Lysol is then used to disinfect the floor, ramp and cart. Blow pipes are swept off and disinfected if they become soiled.
D) Clean pallet guarantee
Mini pallets returning from on–farm to Grand Valley must be transported via the pallet box only and are unloaded by the driver into the on–site pallet shed. The pallets are then collected and taken off–site to be washed and disinfected before re-entering the facility. Under no circumstances are mini pallets allowed to enter Grand Valley facilities until they are washed and disinfected.
E) Drivers that care
Drivers are trained to follow customer specific on–farm protocols.
Plastic or cloth boots will be worn whenever a driver enters any building on–farm or at all times if requested by specific customer (weather, safety and conditions permitting). Used boots will be transported home in pallet box.
Driver’s clothes are changed daily and kept in good repair.
