for a Trusted Publication
For decades, The Grist has been a trusted source of insights, research, and practical ideas for Canadian livestock producers. Originally produced as the Grand Valley Fortifiers Grist, the publication has evolved alongside our organization and the farmers we serve.
Beginning with the Fall 2025 – 65th Anniversary Edition, The Grist is now published as the GVF Group of Companies Grist and released as a quarterly magazine. This updated format reflects the growth of the GVF group and brings together expertise from across our team of nutritionists, specialists, and industry partners to serve dairy, swine, poultry, and other livestock producers across Canada.
Each issue explores topics ranging from animal nutrition and management to sustainability, technology, and the future of livestock farming, all with the goal of equipping and empowering farmers to produce meat, milk, and eggs profitably and sustainably.
